Rachel’s video…a year later?

After seeing Rachel play out at Toad a week ago, I got renewed energy for the video stuff we shot and never finished (for endless reasons). Some of the clips look like they will make their way to boston-beats.com after we have a little party to see what’s there. But I still want to make a live DVD of those shows.

So I went over to Greg’s and got the tapes, at least those he could find - still gotta dig for a couple. I started ripping the tapes to disk today (while editing my course handouts for Autodesk University!). And I dug up the soundtracks too. It’s onto the editing when I get back from Vegas, baby!

Daves B-day and short-week prep update

Happy Birthday David! Some funny cards I hear ;-)

I had fun wrestling with the kids today, even though I was sore in the back. I fell off a ladder yesterday taking down the canopy behind the house. Sue and I did some yoga stretches the last 2 days and that helped.

Whew it’s a busy time in the fall! This work-week is only 3 days. However, I’ve got a hundred things lined up to do around the house during Thanksgiving. I have to cook up a radon venting system for the basement, and I’d like to do some setup work in the studio to dig out of the mess up here (where I’m writing this).

I’m holding an offsite tomorrow with my team, since we’ve had so many changes and need to re-form. Work continues on my 2 classes at Autodesk University. The one with Frank Gehry’s Stata Center in it is a challenge, but I’ll have it iced by the time I get to Vegas next week. I’ll post the course notes for both classes when they’re done.

Big news on WP Boston

Matt Mullenweg is coming to town next weekend. He wrote this backend system (Worpress) that you’re reading. If you type the word Matt into Google, you go to his site. Hope he shows up ;-)

Today I signed up to be the organizer of the Boston Wordpress Meetup Group. I really like this thing and it looked like a volunteer was needed. When I’m not typing into it, I can talk about it.

Luckily the wife and kids take up most of my time, or I might become hopelessly addicted to blog. Really - it comes and goes.
