BU MBA mixer

ouchTonight was the first social for incoming MBA students at Boston University. It was a pretty fun group, mostly attended by entering students living in New England, and exiting students looking for free food and drinks ;-) Some people came from as far away as the UK and Taiwan.

The entering class (about 150) will be of pretty diverse backgrounds - I can’t wait to meet them all. To get a feel for the atmosphere, you can look at MSMBA.net, an unoffical forum posted by the MBA class to keep eveybody in the loop.

C# class (MS2124) rocks

Microsoft class number MS2124 (in case you want to find one near you) is really quite good. After 2 days, I can pretty much read thru code and understand it, and I’m getting the hang of writing in C#. What we learned today;

-Exceptions (continued)
-Methods
-Overloading and recursion
-Arrays (tons of stuff in here)
-Class definition
-Nested Classes
-Arguments and parameters
-Scoping variables

Al Alper is a great teacher - he goes into a lot of details you wouldn’t find out by reading the book. Highly recommended.
